Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Nearly 4 million men left the UK to fight during WW2!. There were 700,000 military casualitits and 60,000 civilian deaths!. Www@QuestionHome@Com At the start of World war 2 it is important to remember that the population of Britain was around 47,760,000!. Military deaths during the second world war was roughly 382,600 with an additional 67,800 Civilian deaths making a total of around 450,400 British deaths!. I'm not sure however how many british men left to fight however at a estimate i would guess millions!. At first they were strict about who they accepted into the Army however this didn't last very long and soon men and boys were recruited!. Good question:)Www@QuestionHome@Com too many ,many did not come backWww@QuestionHome@Com |
