Jean Rombaud was the executioner from Saint-Omer who came over to England especially to behead Anne Boleyn!. I would think that after the deed was done, he took his sword back home with him!. I can't find any reference to it; perhaps it's sitting, unidentified, somewhere in northern France!. If it does exist today, I'm sure we'd know about it!

Anne knelt upright for the sword!. Some mercy was shown:

"According to Eric W!. Ives, her executioner was so taken by Anne that he was shaken, and found it difficult to proceed with the execution!. In order to distract her, he shouted, "Where is my sword!?" just before killing her so that Anne could die thinking she had a few seconds more to live!."

"Some argument is made as to whether Anne was blindfolded or not, but it does seem that no block was used!. The sword was hidden amongst the straw on the scaffold, and as Anne looked instinctively towards the swordsman, he called "Bring me the sword" to someone on the steps nearby!. Before anyone knew what had happened, Anne's head was smote off!. The ladies who were to remove the body soon realized that no coffin had been provided for, and they had to place Anne's body in an empty arrow box; too small for a normal woman, but fine for a decapitated one!. She was presently buried in the nearby Chapel of St!. Peter ad Vincula!."

Her name was Anne BOLEYN, dear!.

And I see you've been, perhaps, watching 'The Other Boleyn Girl' !?

If that sword was even held on to, in England, I hardly think it would have been paraded around for some time!. King Henry loathed Anne so much - no one dared speak her name or bring the subject up whilst in court!. So waving the sword around saying, 'This cut her head off!' might have made Henry very smug (Yah! She's dead!) or extremely angry (How dare you bring her name into my presence!?!)!. So!.

Perhaps, as others have suggested, the executioner held on to it to show his friends and proved he was the actual person who finished her off!. In any case, that sword could be buried deep in the earth somewhere, in someones attic or maybe it was destroyed for the materials!. Who knows!. It isn't on display anywhere, so you'll just have to let your imagination run wild and decide where it is for yourself!.

I don't think it is anywhere!. I've never heard that it is and couldn't find anything with and search!.

You can go to the Tower of London to the spot that she was executed though!.
