November 5, 1605, a Englishman by the name of Guy Fakwes will try and blow up the Parliament building in London!. He will be caught, he will be killed, and his body to this day is still burned in effigy every November 5th!. (Which is called Bonfire Night in England!.) All of this stuff will later be used by Alan Moore on his fantastic book "V for Vendetta" down to V blowing up Parliament, and wearing a Guy Fawkes mask!. Celebrates the foiling of the notorious Gunpowder Plot, in which a group of Catholic conspirators led by Guy Fawkes planned to blow up Parliament!. They stored a lot of gunpowder in a storage basement they rented (not a very good security practice!) but were discovered before they could do anything!. They were summarily hanged!.
