Uniforms of troops are WW11, rifle is M1 Garand!. M1 carbine was shorter, M14 had much shorter wooden stock and different receiver group!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am pretty sure it is the M1 Garand Rifle that was later adapted to fit a scope and made into the M21 sniper rifle!.
