Question: How did the Crusades help to begin the change from medieval society into modern!?
I know that the Christians didn't win the Crusades, but they are often called successful failures!. I think this is because they were the first step in the change from a medieval society to a modern society but I don't know all of the reasons or details!. They helped commerce and undermined feudalism!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you look up the Renaissance, which means to bridge the time gap between medieval and modern days, then you will be able to find your answer!.

Sorry, I don't have time to look it up right now b/c I am doing my school work, but I didn't want you to start getting some crazy answers!.

So just look up the Renaissance and you will be in great shape!.

It is really hard to say that the Crusades helped begin the change from medieval societies to modern!. However, it is clear that the intermingling of cultures, religions, weapons, musical instruments, legends, proto-sciences, literatures, travel, commerce, and adventures set the stage for people to realize there was more to the world than just what their closed societies would allow!.

This and the destruction to a hopelessly classed society by the black plague that allowed the dead fingers of the rigid past to be pried off of the social controls and allowed for the introduction of new ideas, thought, and, ultimately, reason!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
