The answer is D!. Reagan refused to fund various social programs and even went so far as to stop the federal funding of most mental hospitals!. A great many of those hospitals closed!. It was his belief that they were being used as human ware houses and that the family members should be made accountable and responsible for the well being and care of their "loved ones!." Most were discharged and kicked out into the streets where they became homeless people!.

The biggest criticism was/is, that he canceled a great many of those social programs so that he could take the money and invest it into the military machine -- a 600 ship Navy and the Star Wars Defense plan!. Well, we didn't quite hit 600 ships!. And, the sailors didn't see much in the way of better pay or living/working conditions!. And most of the Star Wars stuff was classified so we don't REALLY know if it was a bust!. It DID lead towards "stealth" technology!. But all of this was at the cost of those who have been living generation upon generation on welfare!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

a (if you made less than $200,000 per year) and d!.

Reaganomics also put forth the idea that being poor was bad or that God did not like you if you were not rich (See Wealth Evangelism)!. Basically Reagonomics was all about deregulation of businesses and commerce and shifting of spending from the government services sector to the DOD!. The tax structure was changed to benefit the rich at the expense of the poor!. More tax loopholes for the rich were put into effect such as deductions for 2nd and 3rd homes (or 9th like a certain senator from Arizona) Some see Reaganomics as RobinHood in reverse!. Think about it!. Reagan didn't believe there was a poverty problem because every one he knew was rich!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
