Very similar to what's happening in Georgia now!.

World War II started when Germany invaded Poland, and then (to Hitler's great surprise) France and England declared war on Germany!.!.!.They didn't mind declaring war on just Germany, as it was only one country!. BUT, if it turned out as you say - if France and Germany knew they'd have to face the full wrath of Russia if they declared war - then France and England would have been afraid to intervene, and let the Germans/Russians have their conquest!.

It's unlikely they would have challenged Germany and Russia in the Mediterranean either, as the West knew it couldn't dare challenge both countries at once!. The policy of appeasement would have continued; there would have been no Western front against Germany!.

Not sure how this would affect the Pacific, though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They did, under a non-aggression pact, but Hitler broke the terms of the agreement when Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of Russia, was started!.
AH was fixated upon providing "Lebensraum" for the German people, which involved seizing Russian territories, so the circumstances would not have been different!.
I do not think that the UK would have been invaded, however, as the Battle of Britain showed that country had the best defended airspace in the world, it had the largest Navy, which would have stopped any Normandy Landing-style amphibious operation and Winston Churchill would have opposed any suing for peace!.
British 1000 Bomber raids on Berlin would have continued, which might have produced a stalemate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well Nazi German and the USSR (Mainly Russia) had a passive peace treaty!. Hitler decided he did not need the *assistance* of the Russians and violated his end of the pact!. Hitler believed the German people were the 7th dominion of humans, the master race, or "Aryans"!. They were generally people with bonde hair and blue eyes (although Hitler himself did not posess these traits)!. They also were not disabled, physically or mentally, homosexual, gypsy, or any other form of abnormalities!.

So Hitler would have turned on the Russians eventually, as well as the Japanese, he just needed a Pacific force without having to mobilize half his troops to the Pacific area of operations!. The Japanese had better adaptibilty, treatments, and tools for the environment!. If the Nazi's moved there, it would be like an Eskimo moving to the desert!.

The main reasons Hitler did not succede, one, he invaded Russia too early!. Two, he did not succede in taking out Great Britian which was the fuel point for the Allied Invaision of D-Day which was the climax of the war!. I dont think Russia would have made much of an Impact against the Allies due to their location, weapons, and whould have just been betrayed by Nazi Germany in the end!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A number of people have already pointed out the "non-aggression pact" between Stalin and Hitler that ended with Operation Barbarossa!. But what they fail to realize is that with Germany's betrayal of Russia battles such as Stalingrad and Leningrad took place!. In Stalingrad alone, the Russians lost over 395,000 men!. That battle was equally as costly for the Germans!. Had they honored the agreement and not gone to battle against one another, things would have turned out much differently for the "free" world!. While the D-Day invasion is toted in the west as being a Herculean effort, but when you actually compare the numbers, it really wasn't so great!. It would have been about 1,000,000 top, well seasoned combatants we would have had to contend with!. It would have been ugly!. Very, very ugly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lots of people say that Hittler had the world in his hands and he would won the war if he would not get into Russia!.!.!.!.maybe if Hittler took more countryes before entering Russia it would be easely to win!.!.!.!.but of course if Russia would joined the Germans Hittler would had the entire world at his feet!.!.!.!.of course he was crazy and his parents were not great so he did lose control of everything and he killed himself!.!.!.is also good to make people remember that Hittler took place in the world war 1 as a soldier and he was a very smart man!.!.!.

They almost certainly would have conquered all of Europe but eventually would have turned on each other, Hitler had no interest in sharing the world with anyone if he didn't control them!. Hitler and Stalin were much too similar and neither would have been submissive to the other which would have resulted in war between them at some point!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Actually Hitler and Stalin had a two year non-aggression pact from '39-1941!. They were more alike than different!.
If they had joined, we might still be fighting them!. Japan would have had time to develop an atomic bomb, which they tested in Korea in the summer of 1945!. It would have been a draw but the map would look quite different from today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Americans would never have defeated the combined strength of both these nations in a land battle!.
Of course the atomic bomb question does raise its head as the Americans got theirs first, but would this be an option!?

I think America would be forced to take a defencive approach on its side of the Atlantic and wait for Fascist Germany to fall out with Communist Russia!. Eventually Germany would fight Russia as they do not share the same policy's' including Hitlers genocide program!. And like in reality when both countries have exhausted each others resources, America would step in and clear up the mess!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
