Question: About Pre Ice age Antarctica,
With the knowledge of oil and gas reserves on the continent of Antarctica I would assume that it was once covered in forrest for many millions of years,and in turn would assume that it was inhabited by animals and insects,some of these animals being large herbivores and
their predators,
The question is is it a possibility that Man was also an inhabitant of this continent!? and more over if the ice was stripped away would it be possible that man made structures could still be found albeit in a very ruinous state!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was once covered with forests and animals while it moved to its actual position (reached around 60 millions years ago)!. Humans did not exist at that time!.
By the time Humans left Africa to colonize the world Antarctica was a cold continent covered with ice, and impossible to reach!. There's no way Humans could have survived long enough to build a civilisation there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
There is no evidence of man on the continent though animal remains have been found!. The continent "migrated" to it's modern position well before man evolved!. Furthermore, to support my position, Australia was only colonised by humans recently on the scale of human evolution!. in fact, the first non-indigenous animal to introduced to Australia was the Dingo, introduced by explorers and later colonists from what is now Papua New Guinea!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Who says there was an ice age!? Who says "homo sapiens" only appeared 200,000 years ago!? Who says Antarctica has been covered with ice for millions of years!? Can anybody go back in time and verify any of this!? It's all just speculation!. Fossil finds near the pole indicate this area was once lush, with numerous mastadons and other animals!.
