Question: I have a question about Baroque culture!. I have a friend who lives in Italy!.
He wishes that the culture there would revert to Baroque times!. I understand Baroque to be a time of parody that involved both praise and culture of the Catholic church and also satires, music and theater!. Could anyone explain more to me than I already know!. I cannot find much online about the Baroque culture, outside of statues and architecture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Baroque culture was one of everything external, that could be seen or shown!. In some since we would not call it materialistic!.
But Baroque culture thrived on architecture, furniture, clothing, art or all kinds well educated socially adapted!. With love of opera, music, gardens!. also more of a love of outdoor beauty!. Which is reflected if you look at some of the Baroque periods famous painters!. So it was in a sense a love of show and what can be seen!. Nature was very popular and architecture changed dramatically in the Baroque era!.
It was a more relaxed placid era!. The Baroque period was the Jr!. enlightenment that led to the renaissance!.
