Question: Why was Lee Harvey Oswald blamed!?

I know he was arrested in a cinema in Dallas shortly after JFK's assassination, but:

A) How did the police know it was him!?
B) How did they know where to find him!?

They knew where the shots came from and there were Secret Service Agents in the Texas Book Depository within MINUTES after the shooting!.!.!. that is why Oswald tried to hide the rifle rather than taking it with him when he fled!.

He was OBSERVED to be going into the theater by a COP who called it it!.
