Is the earth really that old!?!? I am also confused about the time line!. If Jesus died 2,000 years ago, how long were people on the earth before that!? And if it was so long, than shouldn't we be worried!? If people were on this earth millions of years ago then it took them pretty damn long to figure stuff out!. And in the past 20 years we have gone in full speed ahead, so does that mean the end is near!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Carbon dating assumes that things have always been the way they are today!. If you believe the word of the Holy Bible you cannot discount the first few lines of Genesis!. If God's Word says he spoke everything into existence in six 24-hour days than that's the way it is!. Believe in a God outside the limits of man's imagination!. Believe in a God big enough to speak everything into existence!. Believe in a God that created the concept of time to mark off the days until this world ends!. The longer the Bible is studied the more the people, places, and events depicted turn out to factual!. Our world was a much different place before The Flood!. People routinely lived for several hundred years!. Reptiles and fish continue to grow throughout their lives!. Dinosaurs are just very old lizards!. For one thing, there was no oxygen!. about 3 billion years ago, photo-synthesis developed!. This started the production of Oxygen!. about 1!.1 billion years ago, the forms of life we know had split off and become animal, vegetable and fungi!. The dinosaurs came to dominance at about 200 million years ago!. The first birds lived about 150 million years ago!. The Dinosaurs died out about 65 million years ago!. One of our common ancestors lived about 6 million years ago!. It was not human!. Genus Homo appeared 2 million years ago!. Homo Erectus appeared 790,000 years ago (or possibly 1!.5 million years ago)!. Between 200,000 and 160,000 years ago, Homo Sapiens appeared!. Since then, Homo Sapiens has spread to become the dominant lifeform on earth!.
