The British seemed to have lost 11 days because they switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar!. The date changed from September 2nd to September 14th!. The citizens were not amuzed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That Wednesday evening, millions of British subjects in England and the colonies went peacefully to sleep and did not wake up until twelve days later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Britain changed from the Julian calander to the Gregorian!. Part of this process involved skipping a dozen days, so 2nd Sept became 14th Sept!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
