Question: How did the success of Jamestown lead to further colonization and colonial settlement!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Well Jamestown was England's first big colony in the New World!. It was like a test run!. If it would have failed I highly doubt English citizens would waste any of their money traveling to the New World!. The English Government probably wouldn't have wanted to invest anything in exploration either!.

Jamestown's success showed Europeans that it was possible to colonize in the New World and it could even be quite profitable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Jamestown was of course the forerunner of Williamsburg, but even while that area was expanding the area around Boston was becoming a center of education(Harvard 1636), and commerce in its own right!. It was originally settled in 1630 by the puritans, early representatives of The Boston Red Sox fans!.Jamestown was only one of several areas that gave a good enough account of itself to make a it a worthwhile investment for the europeans!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

From what I remember, it's because Jamestown brought England success, otherwise the Spaniards would've settled there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
