Question: In the 1300s and 1400s, were nuns punished if they were found with a guy!?

I heard somewhere that they were, and were in fact, sometimes left built inside a wall!. Can anyone tell me more!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know exactly what you're talking about, at the end of a very good book I read, 'Mistress of the Art of Death', a nun who broke her vows of chastity was walled up! I thought it odd, but I had heard of it before!.

I found a great explanation of this slow method of death, and it apparently dates back to the vestal virgins! [Ancient Rome]

I've never heard of such a thing, although that doesn't mean it never happened!. You might be confusing the story with that of the Vestal Virgins in ancient Rome!. Burying them alive for unchastity is well-documented!.
