Economically, the Black Death affected Europe in many ways!. In some cities, many of the laborers died, so the wages of a job would rise in order to attract new workers!. This made some wealthier than they would have been without the Black Death; however, in small towns or villages where feudalism kept peasants working for a lord, the economic affect of the plague was horrible!. For example, if the lord was killed by the Black Death, there would be no one left to rent land for the peasants to grow food on, or to protect them from wandering knights or other troubles!. also, if you lived in this time, you would be so busy mourning and burying your friends and loved ones that you would have no time/be too distraught to work and provide an income for yourself, therefore making you poor and also leading to rising prices because you are no longer producing your product!. In this way, the Black Death economically affected Europe by making some wealthy and others poor!. Hope this helps! Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know how the 'cost impact' can be worked out, However, it had a profound impoact on the economic base of the countries where it was widespread!. In England, for example, it hastened the end of the feudal system for, with so many deaths, labour became short and the peasant class found they could 'sell' their labour - for wages, in other words - rather than just work for free on their Lord's land!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Agricultural prices dropped significantly!. Wages rose because of the deaths of so many people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
