I would love to answer your question, however you are not specific enough!. Whose colonies!? in the 1930s Britain, France, and Spain all still held colonies, and the USA held "possessions" and had protectorates, i!.e!. colonies!. All of which would have varying labor structures and class structures that would influence the way people worked and lived!.
