Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The Welsh were always valued as tough and disciplined soldiers!.

Welsh regiments have a proud history in combat that goes right back to Welsh Archers at the battle of Agincourt!.

The Welsh were prominant in many battles in Africa(particularly against the Zulus and Boers), as well as in India, the Americas, Asia and in both World Wars!.

It should also be pointed out that there were huge numbers of Irish and Scottish soldiers in the British forces!.

The Irish one is always quite odd, its amazing the sheer number of Irish who fought in the British army, particularly in Wellingtons armies fighting Napoleon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Twdor dynasty, the main archers at Agincourt,so rebellious, that there are more castles per capita in Wales than the rest of Europe,Aneurin Bevan, coal that enabled the Empire to grow!.Is that enough to go on!!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
