or did the spanish ruin everything and everyone there in south america!? apparently they were forced to take on the christian religion and forget aboutt theres!. shame!.!.!. dont you think are there still groups of the inca that still follow tradition today!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It's not really Incas as such!. There are still indigenous people in South America, mostly living in more remote areas and in the mountains!. Peru has the largest population of indigenous people in South America!. Unfortunately there's no one living in Macchu Picchu :D (I think it would be cool if there were)!. It's a great place to visit and amazing to think how they might have built it all but quite tourist-y!. It wasn't deliberate!. Nobody knew anything about microbiology in those days!. The same thing kinda happened in Europe!. Black death, and plague killed millions in europe!. Maybe they were introduced via foreign trade routes!. Maybe they were brought in by foreign invaders such as the Huns and the Mongols!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yeah there are still some Incas in Peru, it's just like Mexico!. There is only about 30% full blooded Indians in Mexico and the other percentage is Mestisos!. The Spanairds killed the culture of all of the tribes and empires of 'The Western hemisphere' and made them speak Spanish, Worship Jesus Christ, and made them leave their culture behind and get used to the Spanish Culture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes the Inca race survived almost intact although there former glory and wealth was gone stolen by the Spanish conquistadors , They lost there religion and became Catholic , but being there original religion consisted of human sacrifice that may not have been a bad thingWww@QuestionHome@Com Yes there are incas today, they live in the Andes I think!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes Inca Mayan Toltec Aztec Just not near as many and not much of their language leftWww@QuestionHome@Com |
