I was born in 1972 so I don't remember too much, and certainly don't remember national politics/issues but have vague remembrances of pop culture and local issues, although I don't know if this is what you are looking for!. For example, I remember:

1!. The 1977 blackout in NYC (Brooklyn in particular)!.
2!. Graffitti in the NYC subway system
3!. Being very upset when I saw Saturday Night Fever in the movie theater and the young man falling off of the Verrazano Bridge!.
4!. Disco!.!.!.Beegees, Donna Summer, etc!.
5!. Records and 8-tracks
6!. Howard Cosell
7!. The Six-Million Dollar Man v!. Bigfoot
8!. Being a big Reggie Jackson fan
9!. Having a big crush on Debbie Harry!.
10!. Having a big crush on Wonder Woman (Linda Carter)!.

Hello,,I quit school at 17 and joined the Army in 1976, turned 18 in West Germany!. Partied with so many different people from all over the world it doesn't make any difference where I go!. What I remember most is how the Government screwed so many Viet Nam vets, and they still screw Americans for everything, this government should have been overthrown by the British, but instead they formed a bond of deceit and started political parties!. Now I don't party, screw the government, the lying pricks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

3!. Remarried in 1978!.
4!. Played a lot of music and taught guitar!.
5!. Fractured my back during my last jump, November 1979!.
