Depending on your definition of what makes a great leader, some might present Hitler as one in the sense that he united the German people toward a common goal, improved the financial situation of Germany during the Great Depression, and was immensely popular in his nation and in the foreign community (for a short while)!.

Of course, Hitler also had many negative qualities that eventually led to the near destruction of Europe and the deaths of millions!. However, based on the positive things he accomplished early in his administration, he could be considered a great leader!.

Many dictators follow this pattern of greatness early in their careers, although they later became despised in the eyes of the international community and their own subjects!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
