Question: ****Navigational Acts!?!?!?!?
What did mercantilism have to do with it!?!?!? Did american colonist benefit from it!? PLZ include a source!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A lot!. The Dutch at that time controlled shipping worldwide!. England had to import and export using Dutch ships!.
The navigational acts changed that rather drastically!. That's why there were 3 Anglo-Dutch wars!.

Mercantilism is usually good for the country (higher tax revenue) but not quite as good for the citizens of that country (higher prices)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wikipedia is your friend!.
http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Navigation_!.!.!.

But it was basically Britain limiting the foreign exports of the colonists!.
Mercantilism is the idea of a colony supporting the "mother country"!.
So with the Navigations Acts, Britain made sure foreign countries didn't take their American goods!.

And in no way did this benefit the American colonists!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
