Yes!. That is a very forward thinking subject!.

Hitler, in many many aspects, was very smart and a very good dictator!. But he wasn't successful, and he could be labeled as 'evil'!.

He was a power hungry, smart, evil dictator!.

I don't think people want to give him credit, and he doesn't really deserve any, but that's probably why they call him 'stupid'!.

No, it's not an insult to the victims!. Hitler was definitely very charismatic, driven, and had good political instincts, but he also made many decisions that cannot be described as anything other than stupid!.
Breaking the non-agression pact with the Soviet Union while England was still at war with him; Stupid (although it did suprise Stalin, who couldn't believe he could be so stupid)!. Declaring war on the US even though his alliance with Japan did not require it; Stupid!. Repeatedly interfering with his Generals conduct of the war and removing anyone who disagreed with him; Stupid!.
So, based on the decisions he made, there is quite a bit of evidence to support calling Hitler stupid, and I'm not sure how this demeans the memory of those he murdered!. He was evil, and he was stupid!. Could a person be evil, responsible for millions of deaths, and be smart!? In my humble opinion Hitler was stupid!. He was stupid in thinking he could take over the world and that his "final solution" would be carried out to the full extent he wanted it too!. But Hitler wasn't only stupid he was a mastermine, during the holocaust he had control of almost all of Europe!. In my opinion the people of Germany at that time were ignorant and stupid!. Hitler was many things, but stupid was not one of them if you define stupid as being of low intelligence!.

Intellect, communication skills, organisational skills and so on do not connote necessarily good intentions, attitudes or actions!.
