Here is the reason why a, b, & d are wrong:

a) There WERE Democrats that ran against Raegan, they were just not strong enough to overcome the bad taste that Carter left in the Americans mouth!.
b) Clinton was in the 1990s not 1980s!.
d) Nixon was in the late 60s / early 70s!.

They also wanted somebody with some balls to stand up to Iran when they held our embasy hostage in the early Raegan years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unless you consider Bush 41 a conservative!. I certainly don't!.

Jimmy Catah ran against Reagan in 1980 and Walter Mondale in 1984!. They were both liberal democrats!.

Bill Clinton wasn't "almost impeached"!. He WAS impeached! He should have been removed from office instead of "censured"!.

Americans still want a return to traditional values, it's just that they're deluded by the lamestream media who portrays Obama as a messiah!.

Americans didn't want Nixon to return the military troops from Vietnam!. Americans were tired of the UN keeping us from winning the war in Vietnam, just like they're keeping us from winning the war in the gulf through "rules of engagement" that favor the enemy and tactics and strategies that keep strategic targets from being destroyed!.

What Americans wanted then is the same that Americans want now!. Common sense government that gets the job done without politics and corruption!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the American public trusted the Republicans more on defence issues at a time when the Cold War was very real and the USSR more of a grave threat to Western security than Russia is now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
