Question: Is a printed signed Ronald Reagan letter worth anything!?
I was going through my great aunts stuff, and I found a letter to my great aunt from ronald reagan!. At first I thought it was typed but then I looked closer and it looks like a copy!. But I really can't tell!.

But it is signed on the back Ronald Reagan, I can't tell if it's from a real ink pen or a stamp!.

At the letter heading it says

"Ronald Reagon"
washington

So if it is a real sig!. would it be worth money!. If it's a stamped sig!. would it be worth money!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it's stamped, it would have minimal value, but if it's signed, it would be worth more!. It would also depend on the content of the letter - if it was just a form letter, then it wouldn't be of interest to collectors!. Even a genuine signature wouldn't be worth much if it's on a form letter!. Reagan is pretty recent, so memorabilia connected to him isn't that hard to come by!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For many years, politicians have had autograph machines that can sign their names mechaically!. Most likely, the letter is one of those!. If the letter has enough personal detail that it's likely Reagan composed it himself, there's a chance it's hand-signed, but if it just says "thank you for your concern on this important issue" , it's a machine!.

A hand-signed letter from Ronald Reagan might be worth (I'm guessing) a couple of hundred bucks, tops!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It would only be worth something to revisionist republicans who can't remember Oliver North, Manuel Noriega, Arms for Hostages, Nancy and the psychics, Contras of Nicaragua and huge deficits!.

But cheer up, apparantly there of lots of them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

More than likely it is!. You would have to contact some one in antiquities like an appraiser!. They would first have to prove it was genuine, before they can give you a certificate of authenticity and a price!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
