It was the brown shirts,the SA-Sturm Abteilung!.There were literally millions of them in Germany and they performed the rough and tumble street fights necessary for the Nazi party to survive and thrive!.After the Night of the Long Knives the SA lost power and influence with the executuion of Ernst Roem and some of the other leaders!.At that point the SS-Schutzstaffell increased its numbers and Hitler relied upon them!.The Waffen SS came into existence as a military force after the war began!.The Hitler Youth was more like the boy scouts!.Storm Troopers is a reference to the SA!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
