Question: How are these prophetic words!?
Kennedy ends his speech with these words,
"Freedom is indivisible, and when one man is enslaved, all are not free!.
When all are free, then we can look forward to that day when this city will be joined as one and this country and this great continent of Europe in a peaceful and hopeful globe!.
When that day finally comes, as it will, the people of West Berlin can take sober satisfaction in the fact that they were in the front lines for almost two decades!.
All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words "Ich bin ein Berliner"!.

How are they prophetic words!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Prophetic to the point that the Berlin wall did eventually, as Kennedy predicted, come down!. But that was not until Ronald Reagan implored Russia to take it down!.
It has always been true that the manner in which the least of our society is treated is the mark of how thatour society functions!. There is of course the other side of that coin!.!.!.and Kennedy said it best,
"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" !. When we work hard together, everyone is free!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It gave hope to all that they may be truly free one day, instead of (in the case of Berliners) surronded by a wall, or for others a corrupt government!.
The Berlin wall finally did come down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is prophetic because a berliner is a bread roll, it's not what people from Berlin call themselves!.

Kennedy said "I am a bread roll"!.!.!.!.!.!.and sure enough, pretty soon he was toast!. ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I honestly do not see how they are prophetic in any way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
