Well my employer puts on historical reenactments of famous cases that the Supreme Court has decided, and most of those in attendance are lawyers, judges, scholars, and history buffs of one sort or another!.

The Court, which holds about 350 people, is usually full to capacity and we have a waiting list!. Usually one of the Justices presides, and the attorneys arguing the case are experienced Supreme Court counsel, so the quality of the presentation is very high!.

I've also seen historical reenactments of various Civil War battles, and those are pretty exceptional as well!. The Civil War reenactors take great pains to have authentic uniforms and gear, and the various parts of the battle are highly choreographed!. It's quite a spectacle to see!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I liked the video!.

I have been to the Ft!. Massac Rendezvous!. It was a few years ago, they had the keelboat they had constructed for the bicentennial of the Corps of Discovery there, and they also re-enacted a battle!. This fort was primarily used by the French in the early days, then abandoned and reoccupied by American forces in post colonial days!.

William Clark, in his inimitable spelling, refers to it as Ft!. Massacre in his 1803 journal!.

It was a cold rainy Saturday, and I came home with a nasty sore throat, and a story about standing there trying to reload my camera and then looking up and a color guard was walking right behind me, almost close enough so we touched!. Drums pounding, fifes playing, and the Union Jack fluttering, and me trying to put film in my camera, completely oblivious to the whole thing!.

One of the best things about the reenactments is the faces on the little kids when they fire the cannon!.

It looks as though you were near (William's older brother) Colonel Clark's old stomping grounds, did you enjoy it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, I do Civil War Reenactments and have for about 5 years!. I'm not a geek as someone said!. I just believe it is a good way to teach history instead of stuffy, dry textbooks and I get to make alot of noise and smoke firing a real 1854 Cannon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
