Question: Example essay questions for Russia!?

Can someone give me some examples of possible essay questions about Russia which has anything to do with either the 1905 revolution, 1917 revolutions, Nicholas II or all three!?

Because it usually helps me to know what exactly I should be reading instead of just memorizing random facts about Russia!.!.!.

I'm not sure I understand your question; are you looking for areas of Russian history that you should focus on or are you looking for a good topic about Russian history!?

I'm going to assume the former, so here you go:

In general, you want to focus on the founding of and the development of the St!. Petersburg Soviet and the role it played in 1905 and onwards!. Leon Trotsky wrote some excellent works focusing on the 1905 and 1917 revolutions, including "My Life" and "The Russian Revolution!." You may also want to study Bolshevism, so I recommend reading Lenin's "The State and Revolution!." A good essay you may want to consider writing could focus on why the 1905 revolution was unsuccessful and why the October 1917 revolution was successful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
