Say, what!?!! It wasn't known until after 1900 what caused the black (bubonic) plague!. In 1300, there was no chance that they'd burn a valuable investment like a ship not knowing that it could stop the plague which it wouldn't have anyway since the plague was spread by fleas!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
