Obviously many of these ideas have been reinterpreted, rewritten, and perfected, but the basic origins:
--The Pythagorean Thereom: Pythagoras (lived between 580 and 575 BC; died between 500 and 480 BC)!. The Golden ratio is also often credited to him!.
--Formal mereology began only in 1916, with the work of Lesniewski and A!. N!. Whitehead
--The Babylonians (~1800 BC) were the first recognizable group of people to use/develop Arithmetic

The History of mathematics is a very interesting thing but equations are not invented they are found!. Meaning that one does not come up with the concept that 1 plus 1 equals 2 since it has always been possible!. When a new equation is formed the person in finding something that has always been there but know one currently knew about!.

For instance!. There is evidence that the Egyptians used the Pythagoreans theorem hundreds of years before he even lived!. Thus they had their own version of a constant law of nature the no one can make but only find then lose and find again!.

Personally I have been working on a theorem based on one equation for the past 6 years and every day I find new things and adjust my theories and restate hypothesis to try and understand it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Humanity and mathematics grew up together, mathematics growing with humanity in accordance to whatever needs that needed to be met!. As humanity all over the world grew bigger and bigger, and societies more and more complex, a greater and greater need arose to quantify and measure, in time becoming more than just quantifying and measuring, eventually becoming "Mathematics!." There are aspects of economy, science, and warfare, that deal with numbers too large to be counted out with just your fingers or an abacus!. Because of these aspects the need for abstract quantifying, measuring and organizing, became more and more the norm!. In time, each and every equation being created to meet a specific need, but each and every equation ultimately relying on a rule that came before!.

There is no "history" or "where;" as mathematics, and human history, are tied together!.

However; a mathematical mind, and a problem solving mind, are not the same thing!. A mathematical mind is restricted by lines and rules, and can only operate within that system!. A problem solving mind, can work with lines and rules, but at the same time rearrange any seemingly chaotic data, into organized data!. Some people who can do calc well can't solve a rubix cube to save their lives, while other people who can do calc well can do it in 1 minute!.

Meaning; logic is governed by accepted rules, and it can exist without problem solving, problem solving is not governed by rules at all, but it makes rules where it can see a pattern no one else sees!. I believe that is what the text said, gosh, I can't remember for the life of me!.!.!.!.

Hey, i'm not making this up; I read it somewhere!.

can't remember though for the life of me!.!.!.!.

sorry I couldn't be of any real help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
