Question: During WWII who was the head of the Italian Black Shirts!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Benito Mussolini took over Italy in 1922 yes he was the the leader of the facist black shirts!. Um, Hitler was fully in charge of the Waffen SS but Heinrich Himmler was the SS Reichsfuhrer (leader of SS) and his student Reinhard Heydrich was Chief Deputy SS over the SD(Counterintelligence) and partially over the Gestapo (Secret Police)!. Hitler's orders went over Himmler and definetly Reinhard who was killed by Polish assassins in 1942!. I dont know why people are saying Hitler didnt control the Waffen SS WHEN ALL NEWCOMERS HAD TO TAKE AN OATH OF ALLEGIANGE BEFORE BEING SWORN IN TO FIGHT AND DIE FOR THE FUHRER'S ORDERS TO BE CARRIED OUT!. Not one single person in the whole Nazi organization had complete power except Hitler!. The Waffen SS was created by Himmler for the sole purpose of protecting Hitler in the early stages of his rise to power!. They were an elite group seperate from the unruly SA run by leader Ernst Rohm who was eventually killed in the Night of the Long Knives on July 2,1934 by SS-Brigadeführer Theodor Eicke!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Benito Mussolini headed them!. The Black Shirts were directly under the command of Mussolini!. Mussolini often walked with the Black Shirts (in front of them, in the commander position) during parades, which Hitler didnt because he was not directly in charge of the Gustapo(SS)Www@QuestionHome@Com
