The list of women in leadership is long: Cleopatra, Queen Isabella of Spain, Queen Elizabeth the First of England, Sweden's Christina, Catherine the Great of Russia, Queen Victoria and several women leaders like Indira Ghandi, Margaret Thatcher and German Merkel!. There's an argument that 'if all rulers were women, there would be no more wars!.' But when you think about it, nearly all the 'great' female rulers have been involved in great conflicts, including Cleopatra, Queen E, Queen Vic, Ghandi, Thatcher (you could add empress Irene, of the Byzantine empire, to your list)!. However, that's a consequence of living in a male-dominated universe!. The problem is getting women accepted as leaders!. Some fare very well at this, a high proportion of women serve as cabinet members and members of parliament, other countries!.!.!.!. What do you think, should there be QUOTAS for the percentage of people that should be women in a government!? I think that if for awhile people HAD to accept women in leadership, eventually they would!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The feminist claim is that proportionally, women are not allowed into leadership!. You named those, but I can put a list 100 times as long of male leaders out of the top of my head!. As for capable, women and mend both have the ability to be just as good or bad of leaders!. In fact you have omitted mentioning many!. Golda Mier comes to mind--pm of Israel!. Eleanor Roosevelt is another woman of leadership!. And don't forget the many saints of the Catholic church!. St!.
