Question: What was the price to buy a black slave in the 1700's!?!?
I said it costed around $100-$200 to buy a black slave, but my mom said they costed from $300,000 to $1 million dollars!.

I told her that back then Americans only earned like 75 cents a day but she said back then people earned 8x as much!.!.!.!.

I think that answer is a little misleading because $60-70 back then is not what we think of it today!. In the south during this time, very few people actually owned slaves when compared to the amount of people who did not own them!. Only the very rich were able to afford them, and that is why you hardly heard about the killing of blacks before the Civil War, otherwise they were just throwing all of that money away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
