I'd say from Sir John Harrington who invented the the forerunner of today's flush toilet!. It's not John Crapper but actually Thomas Crapper who invented the modern toilet!. So from Harrington toliet's are called Johns and from Crapper their called, well, Crappers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
