Yes there are quite a few dynasties before Mughals came to Sub-continent!. Several Islamic empires were established in South AsiA before Mughal Empires such as

the Slave dynasty (1206-90), Khalji dynasty (1290-1320), Tughlaq dynasty (1320-1413), Sayyid dynasty (1414-51), and Lodi dynasty (1451-1526)!. The Khilji dynasty, under Ala ud din (1296 - 1316)

Umeyyad Caliphate in the 700s (or for that matter the Abbassids)
Fatimid, Ayyubid and Memluk dynasties in Egypt from 950-till 1500
Seljuk Turks around the Crusades, and later Ottomans who started before the Mughals and outlasted them!.!.!.,
Almohad Califate in Spain and the Maghreb from the 700s too
Timurid dynasty in the 1400s
