If you are asking the oldest known language then the Sumerian or possibly Egyptian!.

If you are asking for the oldest still SPOKEN language then that is hard to say!. As you have pointed out, most languages are evolving!. Many languages (such as English) from 500 years ago could not be recognized as the same language today!. It's true that there was a spoken form of Greek in 1500 BC during the Bronze Age, but if a Bronze Age Greek was transported to Modern Athens, he or she would probably not be able to understand Modern Greek!. Even speakers of Classical Greek (500 BC) are lost in Athens unless they have also learned Modern Greek!. It's not been made easier since many languages have only recently had a written language!.

A possible argument for Hebrew being the oldest language appears here:

Tamil has been around for some 2000 years!. So that makes it one of the oldest languages!.But that doesn't make it the oldest language!.The pre-Classical form of Sanskrit is known as Vedic Sanskrit, with the language of the Rigveda being the oldest and most archaic stage preserved, its oldest core dating back to as early as 1500 BCE, qualifying Rigvedic Sanskrit as the oldest attestation of any Indo-Iranian language, and one of the earliest attested members of the Indo-European language family!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
