there are 7 books
but only five original movies were made
the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
Voyage of the Dawn Trader
the Silver Chair
the Last Battle

so far two new remakes have been made
the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian

they never made the Magician's Nephew or the Horse and his Boy (and it seems the new series of movies isnt going to do those either)

The 7 books, wrote by C S Lewis were not wrote in correct order!. The correct order for them is as following :
The Magician's Nephew (1955)
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950)
The Horse and His Boy (1954)
Prince Caspian (1951)
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952)
The Silver Chair (1953)
The Last Battle (1956)
(With publication dates)
There have been TV shows, musicals and Acted on stage but the movies started in 2005!.

Contrary to other answers here, Walden Media intends to make all of the books into movies!. They are roughly filming them in the order they were written (though this is not an absolute)!. The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe and Prince Caspian have been released already!. Voyage of the Dawntreader is in post production now due to be released in 2010!. The production team have stated that The SIlver Chair will follow!. They have also said they are looking at making the Horse and his Boy next after that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They were live action movies with puppets!. There were seven, for each of the books!.
