They were popular in the 80s, but I don't think you could really pinpoint when they were "invented"!. I'm sure at some point in history long, long ago, people would wrap cloth around their legs to keep warm during the winter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Leg warmers have been around in the dance world for years and years!. They became popular in colder areas to keep legs extra warm in winter!. Worn over jeans they are quite effective!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
