The German people today are generally ashamed of what happened during World War 2!. They usually even avoid discussing about it!. Although there are still Neo-Nazis not only in Germany, but all around the globe, who probably celebrate his birthday in the pleasure of their own privacy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say the older generation of germans drink a jug of whiskey or two in their homes as a celebration!. the younger generation probably just want to forget about the past, the past that has tarnished their country!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I lived in Germany for almost three years!. When ever Hitler, Nazis, or the Holocaust came up most of them got a little bit quiet and changed the subject!. It's a very uncomfortable topic for them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
