The 21st amendment in the Constitution repealed the 18th amendment!. The states now have the power to regulate alcohol!. The 18th became law in 1918/or 1919 the 21st became law in 1933!.

There is only one way to repeal a Constitutional Amendment, and that is with another Amendment!. The 18th Amendment was repealed by the 21st Amendment, which canceld it out!.

Liquor is legal now!. Between the time of the passage of the 18th and 21st Amendment, liquor was illegal, which is what gave rise to the mafia and organized crimed!. Later, with liquor legalized again, organized crime moved on to providing and selling harder drugs!.

The 18th Amendment was pushed by women's groups and clergy!. The women were tired of having their husbands come home drunk all the time -- or not come home!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
