"By the end of 1350 the Black Death had subsided, but it never really died out in England for the next several hundred years!. There were further outbreaks in 1361-62, 1369, 1379-83, 1389-93, and throughout the first half of the 15th century!. It was not until the late 17th century that England became largely free of serious plague epidemics!."

it started dying down as the reinassance began!. this was a new era of enlightenment for people as far as a new scientific awareness began to spread as a result from the plague!. people became more aware of germs and sanitary conditions that, during the plague, were awful and just fueled the plague in its destruction!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Slowly built up immunities in the populations exposed!. The people who didn't die in the first wave had some resistance-either genetic or environmental through better food etc, and the genetic resistance was passed on!. It took several hundred years to finally stop-each generation faced an outbreak, usually the weak died off (children and old people) while the fit and relatively healthy were less affected!. Improvements in hygiene helped too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it was a case of cleaner living, people rid there homes of rats, started bathing regulary, had better food, therefore were more able to resist disease!. sewer systems were built in cities!.

Ther are still insidents of the plague happening occasionaly but it is usually caught before there is time for an epidemic to occur!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The plague killed off the people who had no resistance!. Those who did passed that resistance on to their children!. also, the plague itself would most likely mutated into a less lethal form, thus fading away!. It did last decades, with periodic outbreaks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was replaced by the Red Plague, which was wiped out by Capitalism in the late 1990's!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
