Question: Can anyone recommend any good books about Spanish History!?
I'm very interested in the history of Granada and the rest of Andalucia!. I'm looking for some books about how the arabs occupied Spain etc!.!.!.
also books about European MODERN WORLD history in general!.!.!.Russian history!.!.!.basically, any history books that I might like to read during my summer holiday!.
Note: Please nothing on German and Austrian history!. also, nothing on the Holocaust because I have been studying all of that for History GCSE now for 2 whole years and I want to learn something different!. Yes, I've already read Mein Kampf as well so not that either!.

Phillipa Gregory writes great history novels Iearned so much on history from those! For the spanish history read "The constant princess"!. Most of her books are from the late 1500's to 1600's!. If you are also interested in maritime history books, try "Empire of blue water" or "The persuit of victory"!.
