They are a lot older than that But belive it or not the good ones were made by gun mfgs The best I ever had were Berettas & Remingtons Even today the major knife makers have them you just dont see many ads for them
Search Buck Switch blades Im not telling you to buy one but they are very good quality esp the 110s
