Every president that served in the United States impacted the way we live today!.!.!.to say only one did is a lie!. Every president made big changes to his era!. Our present society would be different even if Millard Fillmore was never president!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Amazingly enough, I'm going to tell you the honor is Eisenhower's!. The biggest impact!?
Ike desegregated the military and the public schools and called for landmark "Civil Rights" legislation!.
Ike is the man who built the highway system everyone now takes for granted!. Before Ike, there were no highways!.
Ike's foreign policy was an "All or Nothing" proposition when it came to military intervention abroad -- meaning, that the use of nuclear weapons would be a viable option!. It was designed to keep the U!.S!. out of little conflicts that were of no significance to U!.S!. interests!. Too bad Mr!. Kennedy threw this one right out the window when he took office!. We could have avoided Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq!.!.!.
Ike also (in his final speech as President) warned against the evils of lobbyists in Washington!. Again, it's a shame that Mr!. Kennedy failed to heed the warning!. Who do you think was behind the legilation that allowed for the raising of interest rates on loans!? And then came back and fought to change the laws regarding who qualified for bankruptcy!? All of which lead up to the current economic situation and bank foreclosures!.

Washington, because he was asked to be king of America!. Washington said something along these lines "This king is done with being ruled by kings!" Being king of America would turn us way differently than what we are today!. He got us into the idea of a democracy which changed our history greatly!. (and probably for the better!.)

Second to Washington, I would say Lincoln in his civil rights movements!. Lincoln was all for the people, without him!.!.!.!. we could still be experiencing slavery!. The constitution states "Every man to be treated equal" THIS IS FOR RICH WHITE LANDOWNERS!. Lincoln changed that!.
