I dont think they are honored, and they should be, because i think it would have been more difficult and maybe impossible for slavery to have been abolished without these wonderful ppl!.
So thank u to all the ppl who let runaway slaves hide in their homes on their way up north, thank u Abe Lincoln, and all the others who made this possible!.
(this was food for thought)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the ones with college educations in American history freely acknowledge the courage and tenacity of the abolitionists!. However, high school dropouts don't know about this history, they only remember the stigma of having come from slaves!. So I would say it's more a matter of education than it is of ingratitude!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I Have always wondered why from the very begining of the movement I have never heard 1 word of thanks to the hundreds of thousand white soldiers that were killed freeing them not to mention honor them
With my people it is diffrent we owe no WMF anythingWww@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so!. And if they aren't honored, that's absolutely disgusting and terribly ignorant!. I don't know where this country would be today without those people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Actually, among educated blacks, they still honor the memory of Abraham Lincoln and John and Bobby Kennedy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
