In rural America, Church was still a big social institution at the time!. People rarely married outside their faith, and usually married someone they grew up with, more or less!. For example, on my Dad's side, my grandfather and both of his brothers married sisters!. On Mom's side, my granparents grew up as neigbors!. WW2 would quickly change that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Going to dances was very common at that time, dance band music was enormously popular!. People went to the movies a lot, most people went at least once a week!. They would play sports, golf, tennis, and swimming were all activities that men and women could participate in together!. Or if you were hard up you might just go for a walk perhaps!. Walking in the park would be a good way to meet someone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
