Question: Did King Henry Tudor have any children with Anne of Cleves!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
No his only legitimate children were Mary I by Katherine of Aragon, Elizabeth I by Anne Boleyn, and Edward VI by Jane Seymour!. After those children he had no more legitimate children!. He had a few children by his mistresses!. He divorced Anne of Cleves before any could be conceived!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The official story is that Hans Holbein, having been commissioned by Henry VIII to paint a portrait of Anne of Cleves, did a very flattering job on a very plain woman, so that Henry was disappointed when he actually saw her and divorced her almost immediately!.
But more realistically, the diplomatic negotiations that led to the betrothal were undermined by later political developments that made the marriage much less advantageous politically!. So when Anne arrived, she and Henry quickly made a deal!. He divorced her, she didn't object, and he gave her a very generous settlement that allowed her to live out her life on a far higher scale than would have been possible in her poverty-stricken German home principality!. I believe she was given the title The King's Sister!. It would seem that they remained on good personal terms throughout and to the end of Henry's life!.
Henry was no spring chicken when they first met, so it is likely the marriage was never consummated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, It has always been assumed that Henry was repulsed by Anne of Cleves, who in real life do not look like her portrait!. Henry agreed to marry her on the basis of this portrait!. The marriage he claimed was never consumated, thereby allowing him to divorce her speedily!. Anne, never contradicted Henry that the marriage *was* consumated, thereby likely keeping her head attached to her shoulders!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The grounds for the annulment of the marriage of Henry VIII and Anne of Cleves was non-consummation = meaning that they never had sex!.

So, the answer to your question is no!. No sex = no children!

(Apparently, from Henry's point of view, it was Anne's fault that he didn't have sufficient desire for her)Www@QuestionHome@Com
