Question: Can someone explain to me in great detail the cuban embargo!?

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could explain to me in really detailed terms the cuban embargo!. Why it happened, how it affected the US and Cuba, why did or didn't other countries participate, was it effective, etc!. I would love to hear some hard statistics as well, if thats not a problem!.

The USA has always tried to dominate the Carribean and South America!.
When Castro's communist revolution was a success they saw this as a threat and tried to destroy it!.
The failed because most Cubans supported Castro!.
So they thought they would try to starve the Cubans into submission by forbidding all American companies to trade with Cuba and stopping tourists from going there!.
They also tried to get other countries to do the same by threatening economic sanctions against them if they refused!.
This has led to a lower standard of living for Cubans for the past fifty years but they do benefit from one of the best health services in the world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
