Question: Treasure maps and secrets - Amazing please help!!?
We were talking to our 63 year old grandmother!. We were just talking about treasure maps and my nan just told me that when she first moved into the house in 1978 she found some old tattered papers behind the sink that read, this way is!.!.!. and showed a very dull arrow!. She thought nothing of it and threw it all away!. We started the conversation because in a bedroom there is a metal bo in the wall with a key hole in a square shape!. It is not that big and it has never been opened as there is no key!. The house was built in 1957!.
What does this mean the clues behind the sink, the hole in wall!?

Treasure hunts with clues left behind are pretty much a think of fiction!.
If you want to find out what's in the box, get a lock smith to open it for you!. More than likely it's a box safe somebody had installed!. It may contain nothing, it may contain paperwork, it may contain something valuable!. Who knows!. But it's highly unlikely the previous owners of the house would have left behind anything all that valuable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have to open the box that's all there is to it, thats with your Grand Mothers permission of course!.
Has your Nan a garden!?
If so, it may be worth hiring a metal detector and check the garden and the house out!.
I moved into an old house once and when I went to take up the stair carpet I found old bank notes on each step!. In total there was over six hundred pounds!.
