Except in a very few cases (extreme upper class) children dressed the same as adults!. Yes, they even wore corsets!. Children's clothing is an invention of the 19th century!. Babies were dressed differently, most babies wore dresses until they were about 5, then they were dressed in adult styled clothing!.

In the lower classes, most 11 yr olds were working!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
